Only sought transparency, accountability from Shiv Sena: Devendra Fadnavis

MUMBAI: Hitting out at Shiv Sena which snapped ties with BJP for the nearby body polls+ , Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday said his gathering had no doubts about battling on lesser number of seats in the BMC races, however was firm on straightforwardness in the Sena-controlled metro body.

“Like them (the Sena) I won’t state that 25 years have been squandered with the organization together. I will just say that we learnt a lesson that we brought about a misfortune to Mumbai this while.

“I had told all BJP pioneers who were arranging that we ought to will to battle for a lesser number of seats (in BMC) yet we won’t trade off in having straightforwardness and responsibility in Sena’s style of working,” he said.

Fadnavis was tending to a social affair of BJP specialists here, as a major aspect of ‘Vijay Sankalp Melava’ (Resolve for Victory Rally), a similar setting where Sena boss Uddhav Thackeray had on January 26 announced that his gathering will go only it in the neighborhood body surveys.

Scrutinizing Sena’s feedback of BJP when it looked for straightforwardness in the BMC controlled by the Thackeray-drove party, Fadnavis asked, “Did I say something incorrectly? Why was I rebuked?
